The New York Times did it. They just drastically reduced their readership. Forget your political biases, they're now charging for online access to op-eds, and other interesting content in the paper. I don't claim to speak for any other Americans, but I know I'm not particularly inclined to start paying for something today that was free yesterday.

I went to read it this morning before work and thought there must be something wrong with my computer. They must be trying to recapture those lost revenues due to declining subscriptions.
I heard from an inside source that the Bozeman Chronicle was going to start a charge for online readers sometime this Fall. First the Times and then the Chronicle, where is this world headed?
Good thing we have House of Wonks as it makes this news a little easier to take in China. The good side might be many more hits for your sight, Chinahand!!
